Infrastructure
AeroScout uses standard Wi-Fi networks as a core infrastructure, and also offers a variety of additional infrastructure options to meet advanced customer needs
All wireless visibility solutions require infrastructure devices, or readers, in order to pass wireless signals from tags or sensors to the network. At the core of AeroScout’s infrastructure offering is the Wi-Fi network, which in most cases acts as this reader network.
In addition to Wi-Fi access points from our WLAN infrastructure partners, AeroScout offers a set of hardware products that can expand the use of the visibility solution, real-time chokepoint detection, room and sub-room detection and more.
-
AeroScout Exciters immediately trigger AeroScout's tags as they pass through, go into or out of a tightly-defined area (e.g. a chokepoint, egress/entrance point, room, sub-room) to transmit a message that is received by standard Wi-Fi Access Points indicating their precise location.
